Tallow is an ancestral skincare ingredient with a long history of use for rejuvenating and repairing skin. Tallow contains essential fatty acids which help restore your skin’s barrier to a healthy state. It contains oleic acid, palmitic acid and steric acid—helping to soften skin, retain moisture and repair damaged skin. I added a bit of olive oil, also high in palmitic acid, to help make a fluffy, cloud-like texture with extra nourishment for your skin. I chose elderflowers to infuse into this balm for their anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties to help soothe any irritations and protect your skin from toxins and environmental damage. I dry render my tallow from the suet (fat) of 100% grass-fed, local cows. There is so much goodness packed into this balm!
Ingredients: Grass-fed beef tallow, olive oil* infused with elderflowers, vitamin E, frankincense and helichrysum essential oils. *organic ingredient
